This Lawsons Cypress hedge was the way hedges should be after a number of years - solid. About 15 'trees' planted about 3 foot apart and cut regularly so that the branches and foliage are knitted together.
It had outlived its usefulness to the owner's though and had to go. Not before serving another temporary purpose.
