The picture shows circular juvenile leaves around the base, a last-gasp survival attempt, but even these are showing frost-damage. To the bottom right can be seen the dead brown lanceolate adult leaves. Many of the Cider Gums around Cambuslang have been killed by frost in the last two winters.
